JANTA CURFEW-MY EXPERIENCE

BEGINNING OF DAY

It was the time 7:00 a.m. when I wake up, the very first thing what I do is look at the wall clock and found that I wake up late by 1 hour from my normal time. After wake up, I took almost half an hour to do daily routine activities i.e. nature’s call, then feeling fresh. I leave the home at 7:35 to reach the park for taking a walk. The sun is almost rising and it was a quite sunny day where the sky is blue and the rays of the sun were so bright. While starting moving from home I found some faces which I daily see around me doing their daily routine activities, two boys were playing the game PUBG in their mobile phones, one person standing at one place for waiting for someone or maybe for some other reason, I am not sure. All of these were quite normal to me, there is nothing that I found changed.

 

SOUND OF SILENCE

The total time which usually I took to reach the park was around 10-12 minutes, a main road has to be crossed to reach at the park. Normally that road was to be very busy, noisy, and crowded. But today I found a totally different scenario which was unbelievable to see. What I see was that the road was completely empty, except few D.T.C. bus which was coming in every 2-3 minutes carrying 3-4 passenger including 1 driver and 1 bus conductor and 1 or 2 persons on bike and that’s all. Not even a single sound of any vehicle was there, the silence was so huge there so that you can hear the noise of you breathe. This was completely shocking to me and I am not be able to believe on what was in front me there. This fact was so hard to digest that this road on which normally 10-20 vehicles pass on in every single minute, sound of different vehicles i.e. buses, bikes, cars, scooters, auto rickshaws was loudly in ears, is now complete silence is there.

 

INTERESTING THINGS

After reaching the park I found that 10-15 peoples were there in the whole park, which was normally occupied with 50-100 peoples on Sunday. I leave park and decided to walk on the road to experience some interesting things which I cannot normally found. While walking on the road I found some very interesting things, the first thing was there is a temple which was locked, no single sound of prays and bhajans were there and not even a single person there including priest also, then I saw a govt. department for voter id also locked from the main gate, bus stands were totally blank no single person is there for waiting for the bus, one of the petrol pump was shut down its operations, a metro station which normally have thousands of passengers were passing there was totally blank . then after walking at some distance I reached at local shopping hub where all the ATMs were cashless, all the shops were closed, 2 persons selling newspaper were there. I buy a newspaper from them and moving forward to reach at home. at one of the red light signal I found that only lights are changing and not the vehicles because on the whole road only 1-2 vehicles were moving.

 

FEELING OF LONELINESS

All of this incidents which I observe was totally a new experience to me, something which I couldn’t imagine or I cannot express in words. It’s like that I am one of the few peoples who were surviving on here. Almost 99% public were shifted from here to somewhere else of which I had no clue. There is a complete peace on everywhere on the roads nearby me. There is a feeling of loneliness somewhere inside of me. Everything was new to me as I never found them like in a such condition. All of this incidents were bringing a new kind of world imagination inside me.
