DELHI RIOTS 2020
DELHI RIOTS 2020
WHAT WHEN AND WHERE RIOTS?
During the last week of February, the national capital has been gone from the very terrible tragedy or mishappening in riots at the north east areas of Delhi where hundreds of peoples get died, public and private property worth of crores gets destructed and huge quantum of blood flood there. All this was happened suddenly and in such a manner that no one predicts that this can be happen. Almost 53 peoples were killed (in which 15 was Hindus and remaining were Muslims), 200+ peoples were injured and 2200 peoples were arrested including detained peoples. This whole incident was continued for a week i.e. 23-02-2020 to 01-03-2020(7 days). Many Muslims peoples were missing from their home. This whole incident took place in the areas like Jaffrabad, Karawal Nagar, Chandbagh, Maujpur, Shaheen Bagh, Seelampur etc. that’s why riots are also called it as a North East Delhi riots.
WHY THE RIOTS?
Actually, all this incident is just a result of political interference, as we know after passing of CAA,2019 in December many several anti-CAA protest was held in new Delhi at Shaheen Bagh for a long period of 1-2 months. The protestors were blocked a stretch of Seelampur-Jaffrabad-Maujpur road in a sit in manner, they scheduled their BHARAT BAND in solidarity on 23-02-2020. On that day the BJP leader Kapil Mishra spokes out in a rally against CAA protestors and threatened to take matter into his hands if Delhi police failed to disperse the protestors from blocked area. Also, a BJP MLA Abhay Verma gives a statement “Jo Hindu hit ki baat krega, vahi is des pe raj krega” This type of statement of any politician towards protestors makes them angry and develop a feeling of discrimination for them like giving citizenship on religion basis. These are the some of the few inputs which gives that kind of terrible output.
RELIEF MEASURES!!
Several relief measures taken by the Delhi government in the form of free treatment of victims in any of the hospitals under the FARISHTA SCHEME. The government also announced a compensation amount of RS.1 million to affected people, RS.1 Lakh ex-gratia and RS.5 Lakh in the case of a death of a minor. C.M. of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal announced that 9 shelters have been setup for the people affected by the riots, for peoples whose houses were completely burnt, immediate assistance of RS.25000 was announced. Also, the Delhi government has made arrangements with the help of NGOs to supply food in the areas where curfew had been imposed. A relief camp at Eidgah in Mustafabad, Delhi set up by the Government of Delhi and the Muslim Waqf Board, with beds for 800 women and 700 men along with it a team of doctors of private hospitals were serving their voluntarily.
VIEWPOINTS!!

| FIG.2 |
On the basis of my information and understanding what I had observe and found that the root causes of all this riot was hate speech, religious nationalism, provocation, confrontation made by few peoples in mass mobilization. Peoples who are protesting there in Shaheen Bagh or elsewhere in Delhi was for preventing their citizenship, abolishing the amendment act, for ethnic and religious persecution. It may be correct to say this the way protestors demanding their rights were not right but at the same it is also right to say that the riots weren’t the solution their problem.
MORALE: HINDUS SAID MUSLIMS HAD KILL US, MUSLIMS SAID HINDUS HAD KILL US BUT THE FACT IS HUMAN KILL HUMAN.
